Now more than ever, we are stocking up on quicker items. For
comfort, convince, and or price. I already enjoy Tasty Bite’s Spinach with
paneer quite a bit. It is the best version I have had and the easiest to
prepare. Their line is much more expansive than I thought. These are two
products I want to try whenever I need to brave the outdoors and grocery shop
again.
Thai Vegetable Peanut
roasted peanut flavor, carrots, baby corn, onions, roasted
peanuts and potatoes, coconut milk sauce, spices.
Thai cuisine is something I really want to explore more. I
have only had it a few times but when I have, I really appreciate the spices,
nut, and lime flavors. Creamier sauces are much higher on my preference so I
would certainly grab this one. I would probably pair this with another protein
to give more variety. One thing I really like about these products is that you
can customize your experience.
Thai Lime Rice
organic rice gently steamed in coconut milk, ginger,
lemongrass, garlic, and basil.
It would take so long to make this from scratch. There are
so many flavors that needed to balance in just the right way. I don’t have
enough experience with these flavor profiles but I can imagine having this with
some chicken coated in a nice thick peanut sauce or a green curry. This would
even be well paired with the Thai vegetable peanut. I have never seen
lemongrass in real life but savory items with citrus always call to me.
I like the fact that these two products are organic and/or non-GMO certified. That is one of the things I look for when shopping. Recently, I've started making a rice substitute using cauliflower that would be very similar to the Thai Lime Rice because the recipe calls for coconut oil, lime zest and herbs (you could use lemongrass and Thai basis for authentic flavor).
