These are three ice cream brands I keep hearing about that I would so urgently love to try. I really want to expand my horizons brand-wise
I really appreciate the smooth creamy texture of gelato. I do enjoy Talenti but I would really like to have some other options. Gelato is a dessert I’m comfortable spending extra money. I’m ready for more variety. I want pints to have more of a flavor profile. I want more of an experience for a nice treat. The top three flavors I want to try are Double Caramel and Cookies (caramel gelato, salted caramel swirl, chocolate cookies), Doughing ME, Doughing you (chocolate chip, peanut butter, and brownie cookie) and Nutterfluffer (peanut butter, marshmallow swirl, pound cake). I have not seen combinations out like these at all. This is the type of thing that makes me want to buy multiple pints and make them fit in the freezer. I love ice cream with other desserts involved. I like the idea of creative sundaes in an easier to eat pint form.
Jenni’s Ice Cream
I feel like I’ve seen this on tv for years. Again, much more involved ice cream flavors. It just has a more special vibe than mainstream brands. I see that they have quite a few scoop shops around as well which would definitely be a special treat. These are sold in-store as well so I would probably do that first. The top two flavors I'm looking for- Sweet Cream Biscuits and Peach Jam and Whiskey and Pecan. There is a vibe that is certainly more adult that I really like. I have never heard of jam and biscuits in ice cream. It’s like a fun breakfast dessert.
Blue Bell Ice Cream
I have been seeing this a lot lately. I don’t know if they recently decided to increase the advertising or something but I really want to see what the hype is about. This seems to be nicer than a turkey hill but not quite as up there as Jenni’s. I appreciate that they directly ship to the store and make ice cream in a more old-fashioned style. I wonder if all the flavors come in pints as well, I don’t really need a half-gallon but if I must, I will. The flavors I’m looking for- Southern Blackberry Cobbler, Cookie Dough Overload and Crazy Cookie Dough (can you tell cookie dough is one of my favorite things in the world?). Especially with this virus situation, I don’t see myself going to scoop shops anytime soon so this is a fun alternative.
