You might be finding yourself ordering more takeout over the
holiday season. Maybe you already do because you’re tired of cooking after
months of isolation. I am in the belief that you should be able to pick out whatever
you want in a restaurant but eating super heavy and salty foods all the time can
get a bit repetitive. These are my picks if I plan to eat something a bit
healthier. I’m not including calorie information to try and avoid potential
triggers.
Burrata Bruschetta Pizza from Bertucci’s
Pecorino Romano, mozzarella, and basil pesto that is topped
with diced tomatoes, burrata cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
I feel like pesto gets forgotten a lot. A chicken pesto
pizza is always good and a nice change-up. This doesn’t have meat on it but it
does have burrata which is rare on menus. I also like a swirl of balsamic
glaze so I could see myself ordering this. Maybe with a salad depending on how
large it is. This doesn’t scream “diet food” which I think is important. You
don’t want to feel any bad feelings eating or feeling left out if others are
ordering something heavier.
Dragon-Glaze Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Lemon-Butter Broccoli from TGI Friday’s
Salmon is my favorite fish from the seafood family. This
just looks like a good dinner meal. I love a glaze on seafood. They have good
sides here as well. Any item from TGI Friday’s that has a sauce or glaze is
usually a reliable choice. I love the Jack Daniels sauce so I would like to try
this dragon one as well. I haven’t been here in a while but I would definitely
think about getting this.
Popeyes Loaded Chicken Wrap
Chicken tender with red beans and rice in a wrap
Where has this been? I didn’t know this was even an option.
I wouldn’t eat this alone for just a meal but maybe to switch up the sides. The
red beans and rice is the only bean I can digest safely for some reason. I
could eat this at least four times a week. Don’t let me find a close copycat
recipe of this because I would make it way too often. I have to look for this
now I have never seen it in real life. Also need to find a location with mac n
cheese.
