Ingredients

  • -1 bag of frozen peaches

  • -3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • -A few Sprinkle of salt

For the batter:

  • -6 Tablespoons butter (any type really)

  • -1 cup all-purpose flour

  • -1 cup granulated sugar (i use purecane)

  • -2 teaspoons baking powder

  • -1/4 teaspoon salt

  • -3/4 cup milk

  • -2 large spoonfuls of plain yogurt

  • -ground cinnamon (at least 1tbsp)

Optional- turmeric (1tsp-2tsp)

Steps

  1. Add the sliced peaches, cinnamon to taste, a splash of vanilla, sugar and salt to a saucepan and stir to combine.

  2. Cook on medium heat for just a few minutes, until the sugar is dissolved and helps to bring out juices from the peaches. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  4. Put pan in oven.

  5. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in the milk, just until combined. Add cinnamon and turmeric

  6. Take pan out and add the butter

  7. Pour the mixture into the pan, over the melted butter and smooth it into an even layer.

  8. Spoon the peaches and juice (or canned peaches, if using) over the batter.

  9. Bake at 350 degrees for about 38-40 minutes.

  10. Let cool for at least 10-15 mins

(if you have an air fryer, it warms up very well! 6-7 mins on reheat, 240)
